FPGAs, PLDs, SoCs, embedded microcontrollers, linear/SMPS regulators, sensors, and
memory devices with different sets of software and hardware tools
• 1 year of experience in I.T. support field with web design and SQL database experience, and with certification in Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MTA, and COMTIA A+
• Ability to lead complex board design projects from start to finish, including initiating and completing detailed design specification, implementation plan, test plan, project progress tracking reports, test reports, as well as involving in actual hardware, software, and firmware designs and documentations
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills, and the ability to systematically break down large complex problems into small parts and logically & methodically resolve the issues with the big picture in mind
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills. Had written various Atmel product
datasheets, application notes, software and hardware user's guides, comprehensive test
reports, and presenting them to customers
Major Achievements
• Successfully completed AES/3DES USB boot loader AVR microcontroller firmware
reference design and delivered it to the customer with actual design demo on Atmel STK600
board
• Successfully helped an ASIC customer to finish their Gigabit Ethernet card ASIC design
emulation using Xilinx Virtex family FPGA with ChipScope Pro Logic Analyzer
• Successfully helped an ASIC customer completed their I/O expander ASIC design emulation
using Altera Cyclone-II family FPGA with SignalTap II Logic Analyzer
• Successfully designed, constructed, and tested Xilinx Virtex and Spartan families of the FPGA boards, Altera Stratix and Cyclone families of the FPGA boards, Atmel Zigbee Light link Remote Controller Board, XMEGA ADC (Explorer) board, MonaLisa Remote Qmatrix Touch Remote Controller board, sensor adapter boards, ATDH1150USB programming cable, Atmel
ATF15xxx CPLD development board, new version of the Atmel ATDH2200E programming
board, and adapter boards. Also designed the Getting Started Example codes for many of
these evaluation boards using with embedded C/C++, VHDL,and Verilog
• Worked intensely with Atmel FPGA configuration memory design team to design Atmel
AT18F(A) series FPGA configuration memories that can be used to configure many different
families of Xilinx and Altera FPGAs. This is a very successful product design that allows user to use Atmel FPGA configuration memories as low cost replacement solutions for many Xilinx and Altera FPGA configuration memories
• Awarded as an IPAD Winner in Wells-CTI's 2010 Design Idea Challenge Contest by submitting innovative socket design idea in using Atmel microcontroller
• Represented Atmel Corporation to be one of the judges for FPSLIC Design Contest Seminar in Shanghai, P.R.C. on May, 2005
• Represented Atmel Corporation to conduct FPSLIC (SOC) Seminars in Beijing and FuZhou
cities of P.R.C. on June, 2004. This event was published in Chinese SEMI.WORLD Magazine
on July 2004
