Research Technologist Pilot Plant (02/2012 Present)

• Identification and quantification of Olefins and esters during separations using an Agilent 7890 GC FID.

• Trained in operating 5 gal Parr Metathesis reactions, 600ml and 2 Liter Parr hydrogenation reactions and ChemGlass distillation

columns. Experience using Parr reactors at high pressure and temperature.

• Constructed Pilot Plant reactors and distillation equipment using Swagelok, beaded glass, and ground glass connections.

Improved effectiveness and speed of distillations by creating a secondary vacuum system for the receivers. Assisted in building

a 600ml Parr reactor to study continuous vs batch hydrolysis reactions that lowered costs by over 50% during toll

manufacturing.

• Participated in HAZOP analysis, ‘What If’ studies, and PSSR’s. Written SOPs for operating equipment and processes.

Routinely performed quarterly lab safety audits. Sat on the Technical Safety Committee.
