PCC Valcom contracts mainly in the Chicago area for technical services and the sale of computer hardware. The majority of

my employment at PCC Valcom was as the Lead Technician at the Grainger Facility for 15 to 20 Technicians in the

Headquarters and remote locations. The locations that maintained were at the Niles Facility, Lake Forest Headquarters and

the Vernon Hills location. The duties included troubleshooting non-standard issues presented by technicians, the testing of

software and hardware for deployment and Grainger branch support.

Reported and documented Tablet PC functionality applied at various locations. This would entail compatibility issues with

Tablet PCs and standard software, connectivity and overall operation. Lead a team of 5 Technicians in the support of 1500

field users.

Contract: WW Grainger Desktop Lead Technician Contract: Dec ‘01 Oct ‘04

Manage up to 20 Desktop personnel within the Chicago area. I had reported daily issues dealing with PC hardware and

software between the various teams for issue tracking leading to resolution. Facilitate adherence to standards

and guidelines through company documentation, initiated the creation of documentation on new technology. Key skills

include multi-tasking, planning, customer service skills and practical technical knowledge.

Contract: WW Grainger Call Center Systems Engineer Contract: Dec ‘00 to Dec ‘01

Working as an NT 4.0 Server Administrator at the Grainger Call center supporting 150 users. Responsibilities including the

Administration of NT and Novell servers, creation of Groups, Printer objects and network shares. Including the

administration and integration of Novell client based systems into the NT based domain.

Responsibilities include desktop support for approximately 100 users in an NT environment. I took part in the migration of

100 users to a new facility into an existing domain.
