LABORATORY EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Fayetteville State University – Biological Sciences Department, Fayetteville, NC
Biochemistry Laboratory:
Gained experience in the chemistry of major cellular constituents and their metabolism using a spectrophotometer
to obtain the spectrums of different solutions.
Generated gene disruption mutations in agrobacterium tumefaciens and examined phenotype.
Examined biochemical pathways of agrobacterium tumefaciens using bioinformatics tools.
Used Electrophoresis to identify the presence of abnormal proteins, the absence of normal proteins, and to
determine when different groups of proteins are increased or decreased in serum.
Protein and immunofixation electrophoresis help detect, diagnose, and monitor the course and treatment of
conditions associated with these abnormal proteins, including multiple myeloma and a few other related diseases.
