QA tester/Analyst

This is an Insurance Information System, which gives online quote for the customer Auto and Home Insurance in different States

of USA. This application was developed using Visual- Basic, ASP and Oracle. The system keeps track of all Automobile

insurance Quote system, its customer details and related project etc. This system consists of different modules like Customer

details, Benefits and Packages etc.

Environment: IBM Pentium PC, Windows, SQL Server, Visual SourceSafe, Test Director.

Responsibilities:

• Involved in the Quality Assurance Analysis and Testing of Insurance Information Systems.

• Developed Test cases for Auto and Property Modules (Home Owners, Renters and Condos).

• Involved in the Regression Testing of Property Module with different data.

• Used Pre-Execution checklist to verify that the environment is ready for testing.

Eckerd Health services provides an online interface that enables users to browse through web pages that included a catalog

with multiple categories and products where the user can get an online medical prescription, obtain information about specific

drug through Rx Advisor service, ask pharmacist a question and can get other pharmaceutical needs & health care. The user

can also choose and buy other items like drugs, order for photos and flowers etc.

Responsibilities: Website Testing

• Involved in Analyzing Business requirements

• Reviewed Business Requirements Documents and the Technical specifications

• Involved in setting up the End-to-End testing with Optimal Trace to review requirements in early stages of SDLC and

Customer Insurance Tracking System, NJ Aug ‘2008 – Jan ’2011

QA Analyst

Involved in testing of an online application, which was developed for MetLife Insurance Company. MetLife is one of the leading

insurance companies in the United States. The application helps the field agents of the company to enter prospective customers’

data. The application also calculates the amount of premium required, cash value and benefit amount for the years in consideration.

The Online application has different modules and I was involved in testing the Long Term Cares. In this system, registered members

with MetLife can get details of their LTC insurance, change the term of their coverage and also use the premium calculator to

determine the new premium.

Responsibilities:

• As an Analyst involved in gathering business requirement, studying the application and collecting the information from

developers and writing the test plans.

• As a QA Tester responsible for the creation and execution of manual/automated test scripts QC.

• Reviewed test assignments, developed test plans and scripts, and conducted tests as assigned.

• Application was updated twice a week, so that all the Test Procedures created as Baseline can be played back to perform

Regression Testing.

• Involved in writing of Use Cases, UAT Plans and UAT test cases from Business Requirements
