3. Tom Lift and Shift - Client Support
Description The Stock Option SOPT and Stock Purchase SP10
applications support the administration and
execution of employee stock ownership programs
including stock purchase, stock options, restricted
stock and stock appreciation rights. The stock
purchase system functions as a mini brokerage or
retail accounts management system that applies all
rules against share positions. The stock option
system supports the other ESOP products including
trading functionality for the Stock purchase system
accounts. SOPT and SP10 are mainframe back office
applications that receive data from the
administration platforms PMC, Sapphire through FTP
files. PMC provides the main interfacing with
corporate clients and has both standard and unique
pipelines for handling client data. Sapphire
provides total administration of stock options,
stock appreciation rights, and restricted stock
plans and is in the process of trying to implement
for stock purchase clients.

Financial Engine: All the financial transaction are
handled by the Financial Engine system, which
receives different types of requests from Siebel
system, process the requests and sends the feedback
to Siebel system.
Coverage Engine: Coverage Engine sends request to
the policy system to retrieve policy and coverage
related information. This information is used to
verify the coverage and policy statuses.
