Sr. Project Manager
• Given the challenging task to fix the WBG (World Bank Group) eConsultant system for procurement of consulting firms and individual consultants which was not being accepted by the users. This was a web-based business process application system that provided over 1500 external vendors access to submit their proposal requests and responses to RFPs/RFQs generated by 5000 World Bank employees. Identified the flaws in the system and recommended several enhancements that built user confidence and user acceptance. Wrote the business process flow specifications for the application. Alerted management that the existing architecture (developed in 2007) was unable to handle the transaction load and proposed
& implemented a new re-designed system (eConsultant2) on a new BPM platform in 2008 and for this, received an “Outstanding Achievement” award from World Bank executive leadership.
• Prepared the SOPs and test scenarios for QA of the eConsultant2 system and monitored the UAT (user acceptance testing) when eConsultant2 system was implemented as well as for the various enhancements for the same.
• Providing system support and developing enhancements to the eConsulatnt2 (eC2) system at regular intervals using ‘Agile’ project management techniques. Some of the notable enhancements were:
o interface the eC2 system with SAP so that after award is made user can generate the
purchase order in SAP from within eC2 system.
o provide eTendering capabilities for purchase of goods on the same eC2 platform.
o create the SAP Business Objects ‘Universe’ of the eC2 system for generating adhoc reports.

• Led the project management effort for the maintenance and enhancement of FREC web applications, these included eRegistration, eFiling, eService, and eSubscription, as well as Legacy Applications. • Managed the service levels for these applications, including designing service engagement and policies to ensure committed response times for any problems towards these applications.
• Developed the project management plan and prepared the task statement for a major enhancement of the eFiling application. This effort required:
o Liaising with this Line of Business (LOB) management team including the Secretary of the
Commission, DCIO, COTR, Security & Systems Assurance Director, and other top FERC
management members to understand system requirements.
o Managing and proposing task statements and estimates for scope of work towards the major
eFiling initiatives for the approval of the FERC management. Identifying the project risks and suggesting mitigation strategies.

• Managed the application development process and SAP implementation for the ISGEA department at the World Bank. Prepared the business cases, project management plans, business requirement documents, software requirement specifications, testing plans and reporting tools. Managed the following major customized application development projects in SAP environment:
o Appointment Tracking System) for hiring Short Term Consultants/Short Term Temporaries
(STC/STT). Project selected for audit of the World Bank ISG to obtain CMMI Level 3 certification in 2005.
o A customized application to replace the legacy Voting Rights System (VRS) maintained by the Corporate Secretariat (SEC) of the Bank, and migrate it to the SAP environment.
• Oversaw the documentation development process (including business cases, requirements specifications, and high level design documentation). Ensured there was peer review of code for meeting quality assurance standards. Managed the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for these customized applications.
• Coordinated the activities of the development staff (on-site as well as off-shore) with World Bank departmental end-users of the systems being developed to ensure that requirements are adequately understood and developed. • Led the development effort of the DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprises) goal setting software for the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Researched the DBE goal setting parameters for the Triangle Transit Authority (Raleigh, NC) to leverage best practices for building FTA’s goal setting software.
• Managed the software development of a generic Utility billing engine to integrate with Oracle Financials ERP system. Prepared the cost estimates, managed scope and managed a team of 20 off-shore developers to effectively have round-the-clock development. Followed the RUP methodology by moving the application development through inception, elaboration, construction, and transition phases over several iterations of user acceptance.
• Started Legacy Migration services in collaboration with a software tools vendor based in India as a new service provided by the company. Developed the project management methodology for these migration services that offer a semi-automated process to migrate legacy systems to the latest n-tier architecture platforms. Developed the phased approach to managing Legacy Migration Projects (Planning, Prototyping, Migration, Acceptance Testing, and Support).
• Collaboratively worked with consultants to establish work plans – statements of work (SOW), work break-down structures (WBS), phase-based resources requirements and prepared project cost estimates.

Carried out the business analysis for the various functionalities (identified as assets) of the personalized, customized, 1-to-1 web-site for VW customers, dealers and employees and documented the same with use-cases and scenarios. Prepared a value measurement matrix that highlighted the benefits of having a 1-to-1 web-site and showed the return on investment of this project. A few assets (such as Company News, Promotions campaign, Calendar of sponsored community events and Dealer Locator) were selected for development of the web-site prototype using Vignette. Prepared the requirements document, customization and personalization strategy, site flow document and use cases for the selected assets.
