• Developed a local financial coaching program under public private partnership with Bank of America,

Center for National Community Service and Points of Light to provide long term and episodic financial

coaching to low income refugee and immigrant communities in Metro Atlanta to increase financial

knowledge and confidence through financial coaching and workshops.

• Established an advisory council consisting of service beneficiaries and stakeholders to guide the

program’s approach, outreach efforts, and supplemental programs. Including community leaders, pastors

of churches attended by refugees, Latin American Association staff and Atlanta Wealth Associates staff.

• Recruited and trained 32 financial professionals and community based volunteers to support both coaching

provision and long term program sustainability.

• Facilitated financial workshops to refugee, immigrant and low income community members.

• Help evaluate and redesign a baseline survey to determine ways members of the Kitovu Youth

improve market access, and product quality and quantity for families of children involved in the

• Results from project proved effective at establishing collaboration between the Ugandan

Ministry of Gender and Social Development and Kitovu Mobile to institute training modules to

sensitize local communities on the elderly and a manual on gerontology for the region of Masaka.
