RE: Job Position Customer Service Representative/Sales Representative at Eagle Eye Events

I am a graduate of the Community and Justice Services Degree Program with honours from

Humber College Institute of Advanced Learning and Technology. I previously graduated Police

Foundations with honours from Humber College Institute of Advanced Learning and Technology. I am

seeking a full time position in my field, and I am available to start as soon as possible. I am very

interested in working at the Eagle Eye Events, to enhance my customer service skills and learn more

about Eagle Eye events. I am enthusiastic about marketing for sports and non profit organizations and I

love working with people. I am outgoing and would love the opportunity to learn and work with a great

people.

I worked as a student Community Service Order Caseworker at the Elizabeth Fry Society of Peel

Halton for a year. This provided me with the opportunity to learn about probation referrals (offender

information sent by their probation officers). I learned how to enter the referrals into the database; contact

clients and courts to find out there next appearance date. I had an opportunity to perform multiple office

tasks; organize files, call clients, call placements that clients were at doing their community service hours,

enter clients into the database, respond to emails and forward emails to the correct respondent, write

letters and monthly reports to be sent to head office and probation officers. Most of my day involved

working with Microsoft office and Apple programs, which allowed me to become advanced in working

with computer programs and computer systems. Primarily I learned conflict management skills,

counseling skills, and office management tasks.

Through my Community and Justice Services Degree program I was able to gain working

knowledge of legal terms and practices and processes of the criminal justice system. In school I visited

the Brampton and Burnhamthorpe courthouses multiple times to experience and learn about court cases

with the opportunity to speak to many judges and learn about their role, as well as the documents they

examine before each court case. I got to shadow a judge and see what a typical day in their life involves.

At this time I got to see criminal cases, and saw court documents with no information filled into to see

what exactly is given to the judges, court personnel, or lawyers. Along with this I got to visit Jean Tweed

society and learn about their office setting and the differences in their operation compared to the

Elizabeth Fry Society. At Jean Tweed I learned about Adobe programs and how to properly use them in

accordance with Jean Tweed’s referral documents. I learned how to fill out client information and how to

input it into the database in 5 minutes; because the procedure requires a maximum of 5 minutes to do so

before moving on to another task.

I have my first aid and CPR level C certificate, a security guard license and driver’s license. I am

an individual who demonstrates exceptional leadership skills. I am able to effectively communicate with

individuals of different demographics. I am punctual, reliable and responsible. Along with this I am able

to effectively work in a fast paced environment and I am able to handle stress filled situations due to my

experience from my placement at Elizabeth Fry, and my two past jobs at Tim Horton’s and Scarlett House

Catering. At the Elizabeth Fry I was frequently presented with deadlines, such as preparing a report

needing to be sent out by end of day; and do to effective prioritizing and organizational skills I was able

to meet the deadlines.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review my resume and your consideration. I would

appreciate a chance to talk to you further about a placement opportunity with your agency. I can be

reached on my cell at 647-***-****. I can also be reached via my email address at

******.*******@*****.*** . I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours truly,

Jessica Ashley Cabral
