2012-current President of Holistex Health Center PA. I direct patient
care and treat patients at my Galleria location. In addition, I consult
with patients in other locations via Skype. The clinic provides treatments
consisting of accepted standards of care/treatment by organizations such as
the American Chiropractic Association, American Academy of Nurse
Practitioners, American College of the Advancement of Medicine, and major
public and private health insurance companies. Services provided include
treatment of patients typical of a family practice setting. Common chronic
conditions such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, COPD, and diabetes are
seen along with minor urgent care of conditions such as respiratory
infections and yearly examinations. Workers compensation and personal
injury patients are also treated for a variety of injuries. Treatment plans
with integrative medicine consisting of medication management, orthosis,
hormone replacement, physical/exercise rehabilitation, spinal and soft
tissue manipulation, vitamins, herbs, and acupuncture are employed to meet
the individual needs of the patient. Treatment programs are developed after
a full history and physical are performed. Supporting test such as blood,
salvia, urine, stool, x-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound studies are routinely
ordered and used. I perform needle EMG/NCV studies and interpret the
results when the need arises. Ultrasonic guidance is used for joint
injections that include intra-articular steroids and Synvisc type products.
Platelet rich plasma and trigger point injections are employed for pain
control in certain cases. I oversee and train a chiropractor, RN, LVN, and
nurse practitioner students as part of my daily duties. I am also in the
final stages of studying for my certification in pain management nursing
through ANCC.
