PTDS Field Engineer May 2012 to September 2012

Operated aerostat to conduct aerial surveillance equipment to identify threats to US/NATO forces in

Afghanistan. Operated the MX-20 camera system for continued surveillance of enemy threats to

coalition forces. Setup and utilized UTAMS for accurate search of enemy insurgents engaged with

US forces. Performed various pre-flight and post-flight tasks. Updated flight logs and tracked

maintenance on the aerostat. Interacted with crew members to accomplish all mission requirements

Installed fiber optics through the Aerostat Surveillance Platform. Performed scheduled inspections on

the aerostat hull and components, the platform and the camera package. Performed tether splices on

routine intervals and replaced defective components on the aerostat, camera package, and platform.

Calibrated and maintained GPS interface, generator/PDP, and GCS/TMOS systems. Conducted DVR

and video editing, flight log controls, problem reporting, and maintained weather station controls for

PTDS system. Operated the MX-20 camera system for continued surveillance of enemy threats to

coalition forces in Afghanistan. Operated high lift vehicles and fork lifts.
