. Splicing outside plant copper and fusion-splicing fiber optic cable
inside vaults, manholes & handholes. Equipment used includes the 3M
710 splicing system and Fujikura FSM-60S Arc Fusion Splicer.
. Terminating copper & fiber cables (RJ-11, RJ-45, ST, SC, LC). Testing
single- & multi-mode fiber optic and UTP copper cables using AFL M200
OTDR, Fluke 177 Digital Multimeter, Fluke DTX-1800.
. Inspecting, testing, verifying & validating performance
characteristics of all fiber optic & copper cables using AFL M200
OTDR, Fluke 177 Digital Multimeter, Fluke DTX-1800.
. Providing customer service, contractor liaison, and site survey, cable

at Cheyenne Mountain complex, and the USAF Academy valued at over
$21.8M.
. Reviewed and approved vendor provided quality assurance, installation,
cutover and test plans--determined, documented, ensured correction of
discrepancies by enforcing stringent contract and technical
specifications.
. Managed and supervised personnel responsible for the installation and
maintenance of fiber optic & copper aerial, underground, and direct
buried telephone, special purpose, and metrological communications
cable.
