QA Analyst
Florida Blue (Blue Cross Blue Shield) is an innovative leader in the health and well-being industry
serving more than 55 million Americans. BCBS has a system called Sapphire in Business System Quality
Insurance team that provides all validations related to over 65 age group Medicare Advantage and
Medicare Supplement plans in which billing/finance includes all validations to check bills and invoices
for member, groups and entity. Also Involved all payment management, payment and bill adjustments,
payment transfers, write offs, dishonors and also sending notices to clients for their late payments, also
managing delinquents, refunds for term and active members, monthly aged trial balances, Binder
payments and related adjustments .
Responsibilities
• Utilized corporation developed Waterfall SDLC methodology.
• Defined the test criteria, project schedules and base lined the Test Plan with the help of project
meetings and walkthroughs, technical design development meetings with developers and
system analysts and business analyst.
• Developed test plans, Created test cases and test scripts (Positive/Negative) . Reviewed all
requirements with UAT users to make sure the changes for each release are properly documented.
• Involved in extensive DATA validation using SQL queries and back-end testing

from IST and validating functionality in Sapphire.
• Checking assigned account numbers for each billing transaction
• Generated extracts for premiums in which all collected data are sent to IM for validations.
• Reviewed Stored Procedures for reports and wrote test queries against the source system (SQL
Server) to match the results with the actual report against the Data mart (Oracle).

requirements.
