Participated in a project related with my MS thesi s. In this project we studied drug delivery
from keratin-based biomaterial scaffold. This laboratory was involved in the effects of five
commonly-used antibiotics (Ciprofloxacin, Cephazolin, Neomycin, Streptomycin, Bacitracin)
delivered via keratin-based biomaterial respectively against three of the most common
bacterial strains, including S. aureus(Gram-positive), P aeroginsa (Gram-negative), and F.
.
magna (Gram-positive, anaerobic) present in bacterial infections.
Participated in a project investigating bone morphogenetic protein-2 released from keratin-
based biomaterial scaffolds implanted over defects in mandibles of rat models.
