EXPERIENCE
Ericsson
2011 to present
IMS Solutions Integrator
. Successfully demonstrated audio & video conferencing system in an IMS
infrastructure by integrating the MRFP with the IMS core
. Initiated and achieved complete testing of IMS system that involved
different scenarios such as SIP Audio and Video calls, presence
information sharing, chat messages and Audio conferencing.
. Formulated the Operation and Maintenance verification specification
for the testing of an IMS solution. This involved testing the solution
for Performance and Fault management, Backup and restore of all nodes,
Software upgrades and security testing of all nodes.
. Ensured the security hardening of the IMS solution to ensure that the
IMS core deployed is meeting the desired security level
. Worked on Ericsson nodes like SBG,CSCF and MRS while installing of IMS
solution
. Successfully integrated Ericsson equipment with 3rd party PGW and PCRF
. Successfully demonstrated first video/audio VoLTE call in a stimulated
environment by integrating of EPC with Ericsson IMS core
TeleworX LLC
2010 to 2011
Reston, Virginia
RF test Engineer
. Accomplished field testing of Sprint Wimax network deployments in 11
markets in Texas, Georgia, Washington, Utah and Missouri. Tested Key
performance Indictors -KPI's such as CINR, RSSI, RTT and throughput of
Sprint Wimax network by using XCAL-X drive testing tool.
. Conducted RF chamber testing of Sprint Wimax devices at Sprint labs.
Tested for UDP, TCP and FTP throughput of these devices. Test carried
out on Radio Access Network (RAN) of BTS vendor Huawei.
. Performed services testing of Sprint devices to check for network
entry involving authorization and authentication, Inter sector and
Inter BTS handovers and resolved performance issues relating to
devices.
Reliance Communications
2008 to 2009
Dhirubai Ambani Knowledge City Mumbai, India
Performance Management Engineer-Switch (Network Operations Center)
. Analyzed the call data reports (CDR), monitored status of the AXE-10
switches and took SS7 call traces by remotely logging into the
switches from the network operations center (NOC) location.
. Operation and Maintenance of Lucent- Next Generation Networks which
involved issue resolution related routing, traffic management, call
failure analysis and call quality over reliance VoIP network by
remotely logging into the media gateway controllers using network
management software, PLEXVIEW.
. Examined the routing and studied the call data reports of media
gateway controllers. Analysis was formally submitted to the business
team to mitigate call traffic and revenue related issues with
operators whose voice traffic was being routed through reliance VoIP
network.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Department of Telecommunications University of Maryland, College Park, MD
Dec-2009 to
May-2010
. Successfully planned stage wise deployment of mobile network in
Washington, D.C area using RF planning tool MaxPlan. Analyzed the
coverage and interference caused by the deployment and inspected the
microwave links to be relocated due to deployment using Poseidon tool.
. Drive tested the T-mobile GSM network in and around College park
Maryland using test software PROSCOUT. Observed the call setup and
call handoff. Identified areas of poor coverage and determined reasons
for call failure, handoff failure and high bit error rates by
examining the frequency plan and base station parameters like neighbor
list.
. Configured CISCO routers and switches using RIP, EIGRP and OSPF
routing protocols in a simulated environment. Observed the performance
of the three protocols with respect to routing of packets.
. Tested the Wireless LAN network in University of Maryland using
software Visiwave and observed common interferences to WLAN
performance like microwave ovens, Bluetooth and Ad hoc networks using
software Channelizer Pro.
. Gave a technical presentation on DAS-Distributed Antenna Systems.
. Presented a scholarly paper on the RADIUS protocol and its
implementation in Wimax
