Network Operations Center Supervisor:

As the NOC Supervisor I am responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the NOC including the

operation and administration of the Mobile Telephone Switching Office (MTSO). The overall health of the

network through surveillance of the voice and data services, all associated elements including transport

facilities and the performance of all NOC Technicians. I coordinate NOC resources, support departmental

projects, and communicate regularly with management. My position ultimately ensures that customer

service expectations are met or exceeded on a daily basis.

My Responsibilities also include:

• Supervising the installation, operation, administration, maintenance and troubleshooting of the

switching, data communications, and peripheral equipment associated with the MTSO.

• Coordinating support for the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of the transmission facilities

(DS0 thru DS3, Trunk Groups and Route Sets).

• Prepare root cause analysis forms as required.

• Work to ensure a high quality of customer support is delivered to external subscribers and internal

functional departments.

• Evaluate the overall NOC performance to ensure it is meeting or exceeding all service level

expectations.

• Effectively communicate the health and status of the Revol network in support of organizational

activities and goals.

• Managing NOC personnel including all Hiring, Evaluating, Mentoring, Reviewing, Disciplinary

Actions, Promoting, and Team Building.

• Overseeing the completion of MOP's as required by our vendor.

• Writing, evaluating and distributing company procedures as required. Reviewing and making

recommendations for changes to company policies as needed.

Accomplishments:

• Designed a new scheduling system to eliminate shifts yet provide maximum coverage during

peak network operating times while maintaining a maintenance shift to address switch issues.

This minimized personnel needed to operate and maintain the switch, stream lined the NOC

reducing the payroll over head by $143,000.00 while maintaining 24/7 surveillance of the network.

• Developed a New NOC budget to keep Capitol Expenses to a minimum while reducing overall

Operating Expenses by 37%.

• Successfully negotiated contracts for the maintenance of UPS systems and Generators used to

maintain network viability.

• Researched, designed, and deployed the off net Network surveillance system, including all SLA's

utilized.

• Actively participated in the planning, development and roll out of the EvDO overlay system utilized

by Revol from Ericsson.

• Actively managed the testing and cutover by NOC personnel of over 1400 new T1E1 circuits to

replace aging backhaul circuits.

• Actively managed the testing and cutover of the new VSE core switch with Ericsson.
