Project Description : DHL Exel Logistics is one of the world's largest

dedicated supply chain companies with well-developed capabilities

throughout the America, Europe and Asia to support globalisation, supply

chain integration and market expansion. Exel services extend across the

supply chain - from inbound logistics to home delivery - and are supported

by a multi-modal global transportation capability. The value of these

services is enhanced by an industry-focused approach to the supply chain,

offering business and market expertise that addresses industry-specific

supply chain needs. DHL EXEL would like to maintain common integration

standards across the global using ESI Hubware solutions.

Integration Hubware - An Integration solution was designed to cater for

integrating all the hybrid systems external to SCI2 and other Exel's

Applications. The work comprises of EDI message translation, tracking,

message forwarding thus integrating different systems across the globe. The

scope also includes implementing EDI solution for Exel's major client

Nokia.

Roles & Responsibilities:

. Handling priority Incidents reported by customers on message flow

(Incident Management).

. Production System Monitoring & Support.

. Release Management - Deployment of Mercator objects in live

environment.

. Application Support & Maintenance.

. Decommission of interfaces.

. Involved in Problem Management issues pertaining to Interfaces,

Databases, servers, AS2 (Cyclone), FTP and HTTP connectivity.

Project Description : Worked as the Off-Shore Applications Developer and

Support Analyst for the ongoing McDonalds Project Implementations. Also

involved in resolving the issues for the interfaces running in the

production environment and re-engineering the interfaces during

enhancements.

Operational/Enhancement activities:

The following are the

existing projects currently running in the production environment. These

interfaces are re-engineered by adding new business logic modifying the

type trees and map rule to comply with the new business requirements and

enhancements.

Responsibilities:

. Working on changes and enhancements of the applications which are

currently running in production systems.

. Working on the new change requests for the applications currently in

production on the country spokes and Messaging Center.

. Addressed all the quick changes and regular changes of the interfaces

during development and testing.

. Understand the business requirements, Technical design documents

provided by the on-site team.

. Generated the type trees using XML DTDs,Copybooks and SQL databases.

. Developed the maps, compiled and executed them locally (Windows XP).

. Developed the Systems to complete the workflow of the interface.

. Deployed the maps on the AIX server and tested the maps for any

errors.

. Communicating the project status and work status effectively to

management and client on a regular basis.

. Quality testing with the data provided by the client.
