OBJECTIVE:
As a Licensed Phlebotomy Technician with excellent interpersonal skills and
exceptional organizational ability, it is my desire to return to the
profession in which I spent a large portion of my career until my position
was eliminated due to downsizing by the administration at St. Agnes
Hospital . During my tenure as a phlebotomist, I especially appreciated
the importance of being the first point of contact with the patient in the
laboratory diagnostic process and the responsibility to place the patient
at ease while collecting the appropriate specimens to ensure the highest
quality laboratory result. I feel that I have a special gift for this work
and I am eager to return to the first opportunity.

ABN and HIPPA forms, ordering lab tests, send out for testing, satellite
lab.

blood specimen, draw from patient, collect urine, eye cultures, throat

Duties: Admit, vitals, help IV starts, collect specimens, labeling
specimens, assist nurses on draws, medaports.
SKILLS:
Entering lab orders into a computer system, ICD-9 codes, HIPPA/ABN
treatment consents, lab draw all ages, blood gasses, blood cultures, assist
pathologist with setups and performing slides on bone marrows, collection
of blood, urine, stool and eye cultures, specimen transport to appropriate
locations.
