MINI PROJECT UNDERTAKEN:

TITLE: “MACHINABILITY ASPECTS OF ALUMINIUM USING CNC MACHINE”.

Project carried out at CNC MACHINE Centre, SDMCET Dharwad.

OBJECTIVES:The objective of this project was to study the effects of CNC machining processes on Aluminum alloy 6061 samples for its surface roughness. This research investigated the effects of the most significant parameters such as spindle speed, depth of cut, feed rate on the surface roughness. Each parameter that would have an influence on the surface roughness of the machined parts was taken into consideration. The classical method of Design of Experiments (DOE) was chosen for the research.

MAJOR PROJECT UNDERTAKEN:

TITLE:“DESIGN OF LEADSCREW&FABRICATION OF PORTABLE CNC ROUTER”

Project carried out at MACHINE SHOP CENTRE,SDMCETDharwad.

OBJECTIVES: Main aim is to fabricate a portable CNC used to machine soft metals, wood, electronic circuit board and this CNC is also used demonstrate in the class to understand its working. As mentioned in the title we design of lead screw to move work table was the main part of the work. In the next phase the design & fabrication of CNC tool and all remaining parts required for CNC tool was done. Stepper motor with torque of 10 kg cm was used for the axis movement of the CNC tool. KCAM software was used as an interface between machine tool and computer. Over all, getting the CNC router to work in the desired manner was a very interesting & challenging job.

Completed Industry Internship Program 2013organized on the topic of “Automobile Designing & Styling Using Reverse Engineering” certified by SGT-International.

Participated Workshop on Designing, Simulation, Analysisof Commercial Car & Engine DesignCertified by SGT-International & SAEINDIA.

Organised an event Autoaganza an automobile workshop during INSIGNIA2013 national level technical fest organized in SDMCET DHARWAD.
