TRAINING AND PROJECT DETAILS:

. Training in "Power grid Corporation of India limited"- In this

training I got familiarized on functioning of power Substation with

special emphasis on Auxiliary system, Substation Maintenance,

Transformer, Reactor, Bus Bar protection and Testing.

. Main Project on Hybrid Wind and Solar Energy System - In this training

I got familiarized on a new system configuration of the front-end

rectifier stage for a hybrid wind/photovoltaic energy system. This

configuration allows the two sources to supply the load separately or

simultaneously depending on the availability of the energy sources.

The inherent nature of this Cuk-SEPIC (Single-ended primary-inductor

converter) fused converter, additional input filters are not necessary

to filter out high frequency harmonics. Maximum Power Point Tracking

(MPPT) to be used to extract maximum power from the wind and sun when

it is available.

. Mini Project on Light Sensitive alarm - The circuit detects a certain

shadow falling on the light sensor and sounds the beeper when this

happens. The light sensor is an LDR (Light dependent resistor), this

has a low resistance in bright light and a high resistance in dim

light.

. Mini Project on Fire Alarm using thermistor - In this fire alarm

circuit, the thermistor works as the heat sensor. When the temperature

increases, its resistance decreases and vice - versa. The circuit uses

readily available components and can be easily constructed on any

general purpose PCB.
