*OBJECTIVE*
Seeking an entry-level position in the field of Civil/Structural
Engineering.
*EDUCATION*
University of Houston - Houston, TX
Master of Civil Engineering
May
2014
GPA: 3.16
*Relevant Courses:* Design of Offshore Structures, Advanced Concrete
Design, Structural Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis, Engineering Project
Management, Constitutive Modeling of Materials, Mechanics of Porous Media,
Behavior and Design of Prestressed Concrete.
Sri Venkateswara University of Engineering, India
May 2009
Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering
GPA: 3.7
*RESEARCH AND DESIGN PROJECTS*
* Design of Offshore
Structures
*Spring 2013
Developed and worked on the excel sheets for the calculation of wind force,
steel pipe allowable stress calculations, wave force calculations and pile
ultimate strength calculations as per API (RP 2A, 2INT-MET, 2MET).
Developed a Caisson design for different water depths both for boat access
and helipad access.
*Term Project on Advance
Concrete
*Spring 2013
Designed one way and two way slabs with a slab thickness to be determined
based on deflection control and calculated the required factored moments
and shears according to direct design method and calculated reinforcement
according to ACI code
* Report on Discrete Crack Modeling using Abaqus
*Fall 2013
A report on the numerical technique method called Discrete Crack
Modeling. When a discrete crack is inserted in the model and the topology
of the structure changes can be studied and observed by using Abaqus
software. Application of this model depicts realistic load displacements
and stress intensity along crack pattern.
* Report on Numeric Analysis of Finite Elements for a Cantilever
beam *Spring 2014
To study the static analysis of a beam, Finite Element software ABAQUS has
been used. Simulation results are studied carefully and salient conclusions
have been drawn. The outputs of for both the quadrilateral and triangular
elements are used to compare with the analytical results obtained from the
analytical calculations.
* Design of Foundations of Multistoried Building for Equal
Settlement *Spring 2009
Conducted experiments required to analyze the behavior of soil and designed
foundations based on the maximum bearing strength and the amount of
foundation load subjected for particular region to lead to equal
settlements.
* PAPER PRESENTATIONS*
*Natural Hazards and Disaster Management: *Causes, effects and mitigation
strategies on the Natural Hazard and Disaster Management at International
Conference, Hyderabad.
* Grouting Techniques: *One of the ground improvement techniques used
widely to reduce the liquefaction hazards and effects of pore water
pressure during earthquakes.
