WORK EXPERIENCE
Scanner
Impact Logistics - Fairburn, GA - January 2014 to Present
Responsibilities
My role at Impact as a scanner is to initiate the inbound process by scanning tires & writing the route (location)
of where the tire belongs. The tires are then sorted and reloaded onto trucks for distribution.
Skills Used
Multitasking and working well as a team are the main skill set required for this job.
Directors Assistant/ Counselor
Olivet Community Development Corporation - Fayetteville, GA - May 2008 to August 2014
Responsibilities
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A REOCCURRING SUMMER JOB. My responsibilities while employed each year
at the Olivet Summer Camp include direct supervision of as many as 60 kids from age 5 to 16, creating
spreadsheets of contact information as well as payroll & spending expenditures, and facilitating breakfast and
lunch set ups as required by the Georgia Bright From The Start program. Any environment with kids will always
be unpredictable and because of this I bare many different responsibilities from day to day.
Skills Used
Problem solving when working with kids can make a whole days difference; It is important to always listen and
solve each conflict in a way that will be fair to both sides and prevent the same conflict in the future. Another
very important work and life skill that I've learned from working with kids is relationship building. Whether it’s the
relationship with the parent or the relationship with the child, maintaining a friendly, caring, and encouraging
dynamic creates a better atmosphere all around. The little things like making sure a new child feels welcomed
makes for a happier child and therefor a happier parent/customer. Cash handling and record keeping were
also a part of my position.
Hostess
Cafe Intermezzo - Atlanta, GA - January 2013 to September 2013
Responsibilities
My primary job at Cafe Intermezzo was to seat guests according to a seven to 11 person floor plan. Café
Intermezzo is one of the busiest restaurants in the airport due to the quality and style of food, so often times I
was called on to wear multiple hats. I also gained experience food running/expediting and busing tables.
Skills Used
Customer service is second nature to me and that is the main skill required for any job in the hospitality industry.
I've mastered this skill, along with knowing how to stay level headed & efficient/productive in times of crisis
or busy hours in a restaurant. Another important skill I perfected at Cafe Intermezzo was working as part of
a team. In this setting especially, it is important that everyone helps each other out and occasionally picks up
any slack if they see a teammate struggling and are able to assist.
