Responsible for corrective and preventative maintenance, computer system management, software

maintenance, logistic support material maintenance and electronic system administrative duties for the USCG's

WLM/ WLB ISCTS's (Integrated Ship Control Training Systems) simulators, DTS (Dynamic Positioning System

Part-Task Training System with Electronic Chart-Precise Integrated Navigation System) and the WLM/ WLB

CTS's (Classroom Training Systems).

Responsible for system manager services for the computer based classroom training systems consisting of

4 servers, 34 workstations, and all associated equipment. These services include ensuring the proper training

software is loaded and operating properly, training computer workstations are operating properly, all peripheral

training aids are functioning correctly and ensuring software backups are current.

Assist Coast Guard personnel in planning and execution of proper operation and maintenance of the system

equipment with special emphasis on troubleshooting, adjustment and inspection.

Perform all on site maintenance at the organizational level consisting of on-line replacement of faulty

equipment, adjustments and repairs to minimize trainer down time.

Ensure the proper trainer operation and control in support of the training, engineering and field support

mission, and to enable exploitation of the full training capability of the trainers.

Electronic Technician/ Maintenance III

Lockheed Martin/ Fidelity/ Cubic Corp. - Norfolk, VA - November 1999 to January 2014

Perform on-line and off-line corrective and preventative maintenance on installed equipment (COMS E-2C

Simulators- 2F110, 2F166-1, 15F8C, 15F8H, 2F168 and 2F166-2).

Isolate to the component level and repair casualties on training device equipment, which includes display

consoles, mechanical and hydraulic devices, computers and aural systems.

Perform equipment assembly, subassembly and component repairs as needed.

Jason Associates Corp - December 1998 to January 2001

Responsible for the proficient operation, maintenance, checkout and testing of the United States Coast Guard's

two new multi-million dollar simulator/ trainers, hardware and the debug and maintenance of diagnostic

software.

Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the SAFENET LAN's consisting of LIU's, TCU's, PC's,

VME's, and various OS's such as Windows NT/ 95 and OS/2 WARP and all associated fiber optic cabling.

Assisted with and performed system and equipment installation, and contractor and government final

acceptance testing of the simulators.

Identified problems, diagnosed causes and determined corrective actions in all areas of trainer operation.

Participated in numerous Performance Testings as both an evaluator and instructor.

Worked with complex testing devices such as O'scopes, Fiber Optic Power Loss Test Sets, Visible Fault

Identifiers, etc.

Responsible for extensive research into the supply sparing for the fleet of 30 new Coast Guard Buoy Tenders

resulting in a much-needed supply of replenishment parts for the fleet.

Responsible for the research and procurement of over a million dollars worth of spare parts for the trainers

resulting in an overall trainer uptime of over 99% over a 2 year period.

Aviation Electronics Technician

United States Navy - 1983 to 1998

Fifteen years hand-on experience in electronics repair and maintenance. Qualified and proficient in repair and

maintenance of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) benches, analog and digital circuitry, aviation electronics

systems, components and computer systems. Performed in-depth maintenance on computer subsystems,

peripheral equipment and digital subsystems down to component level. 2-M qualified to change bad

components.

Awarded the Navy Achievement Medal by the Secretary of the Navy for professional achievement while

serving as Avionics Division Radar/ Communications Test Station Operator/ Maintainer and Shift Supervisor

managing 11 Automatic Test Equipment benches and supervising 15 men. Instrumental in coordinating the

use of squadron aircraft to troubleshoot and repair Radar/ Communications equipment normally repaired by

Automated Test Equipment benches.

Supervised and performed component-level troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electronics

systems, hardware and peripherals. Trained in micro-miniature repair. Proficient in interpretation of wire

diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings. Performed preventive and corrective maintenance, locating
