Bridge Crew Member (12-C), Fort Knox, KY

• Operated and maintained common bridge transporter (4 axles), bridge erection boat, light vehicles (2

axles), and dry support bridge launcher.

• Perform duties as a deckhand on the bridge erection boat.

• Lead as Bridge Commander on a number of bridge builds during training. As well as trained many

soldiers in the basic duties of a bridge crew member during bridging training.

• Commanded the bay launching site and over saw soldiers in the launch and retrieval of float bridge

bays.

• Assisted command team in the preparation of a bridge site, rafts and bridge operations.

• Trouble shot and maintained hydraulic systems on dry support bridge launcher and dry support bridge

modules, float bridge bays, and common bridge transporter.

• Trouble shot and maintained diesel engines on many pieces of equipment.

• Installation of kedge anchorage systems, wire obstacle material, overhead anchorage systems and

demolition firing systems.

• Assembly and maintenance of military fixed and float bridges.
