Provides strategic consulting services focusing on Project and Program Management services in small business

management. Some of the companies supported are NCR, GTE, Bank of America, Nortel, Nokia, Bell Helicopter,

National Muscular Sclerosis Society, Society for Free Trade (NAFTA), The Arc, Cooper Street Counseling and

• Responsible for projects with budgets exceeding $800M and over 300 matrixed and direct report staffing

• Project Manager on short-term project to upgrade of 256 T-Mobile cell towers in Houston and Corpus

Christi

• Project Manager on inventory and upgrade of network assets (circuits, routers and switches) for major

financial corporation at 11,550 sites. Responsible for planning scope, hiring resources, executing and

tracking, controlling budget and invoicing over this multi-phased project. Also managed several smaller

projects with successful results

• Project Manager contracted to manage multiple vendors on project installing multiple Regional and Local

Wireless Switching Centers for AT&T Wireless Group in order for them to initiate new GSM/ GPRS Network.

Vendors include Nortel, Nokia, Ericsson, Alcatel, Tellabs, Sun and Cisco. Augmented Scope of Work and

project schedule for increased tracking ability. Also initiated modifications to reports and program deliverable

format to aid client management. Able to facilitate compression of schedule from 36 months to 22 months.

• Project Manager on Southland Corp (7/11) to initiate asset management system to better utilize systems

for customer rollout of fully integrated Point of Sale systems in over 6000 locations nationwide linked to

Accounting centers regionally

• Program Manager on several network hardware and cabling projects for Universities and School systems

across the state of Texas having nine Project Managers and twenty-seven Site-Coordinators reporting directly

• Project Manager on several projects dealing with E911 installations for city and government locations

• Managed several highly visible GTE internal moves and upgrades involving several other GTE business

units

• Installed voice and data infrastructure for new construction call center consisting of 8000 nodes.

• Put in charge of a group responding to large RFPs (Request for Proposal), successfully winning over 80%

after revising the process and tools that were used

• Installed SONET rings for major financial corporation, linking 12 buildings across the Dallas-Fort Worth

• Re-organized internal support structure and LAN topology for leading telecommunications company (1200

users, 100 NT servers). Improved server processing level by 60% and decreased support resolution time by

80%

• Project Manager for design and implementation of a change of network strategy for Texas Instruments (23

sites, 45,000 nodes total). I managed several local locations and then was assigned as Project Manager for

an Asia Pacific site. Upon successful completion I was assigned to a “problem child” location locally (4,500

nodes in one group of buildings) and finished ahead of schedule. I then lead a team to provide petitioning to

TI to validate Change Order payments

needed integration into the existing corporate infrastructure and processes with minimal disruption.
