Who I Am
I am a young, enthusiastic writer (and reader) who believes that, where style and subject matter are
concerned, the sky’s the limit! I am actively seeking new projects in any and all uncharted territories. My
previous work runs the gamut of creative writing, business writing, journalism, online media, research
and editing.

Generator Strategy Advertising
Generator is a small, but extremely enthusiastic design and research agency.
What I Do:
Contribute creative written content to projects
Collaborate on the production of other creative design collateral
Manage projects on both the client side, and internally
Conduct product, brand, and design-related market research
Notable Successes:
Created written content for the highly successful visitnorthwestontario.com, and
coordinated the project together with The City of Thunder Bay Tourism and the RTO
Developed written content for, and oversaw the production of, Grand Portage Lodge &
Casino’s bimonthly Player’s Club brochures
Produced a series of promotional pieces for the Staal Foundation Open, one of PGA Tour
Canada’s 2014 events
Early 2013 – Present: Freelance Writer
The Walleye, Arts and Culture Magazine
The Walleye is Thunder Bay and region’s premier magazine for entertainment, arts, culture,
business, and local interest.
What I Do:
Contribute creative written content
Provide engaging and detailed event reviews
2013 – Present: Administrator
Rideshare Ontario
Rideshare Ontario is an active and friendly Facebook community designed to coordinate
carpooling throughout the province and beyond.
What I Do:
Promote Rideshare Ontario locally and regionally
Oversee and supervise member interaction (and provide conflict resolution)
Field questions and provide assistance to new or inexperienced members
Research potential avenues of improvement and expansion
Notable Successes:
During my tenure with the group, membership has risen dramatically from roughly a
dozen members, to over 1500.
Conducted an extensive member survey to gauge the effectiveness of administration
and of the group’s services
2009 – 2011: Research/Graduate Assistant
Lakehead University
What I Did:
Assisted with two different courses: an introductory literary course, and a more
advanced theory course
Was responsible in both cases for marking and providing feedback for at least half of all
course assignments
Assisted English department professor Monica Flegel in the completion of a research
project. My job involved conducting and indexing a search of secondary sources related
to representations of children as animals in Fin de Siècle fiction and non-fiction.

Lakehead University, Thunder Bay ON
Emphasis was on development of a unique and dynamic written voice, understanding
and applying research methods, and the integration of these methods into
comprehensive theoretically based written work. Establishment of thorough analytical
skills and the ability to network effectively were also key program components.
