• Provided data models, physical database design, and database administration.

Served as Data Architect on the Unemployment Insurance Benefits Systems Modernization Project for the Illinois Department of Employment Security.

• Provided data models, physical database design, and database administration.

• The project used IBM DB2 OS/390 version 7.1 and 8.x. The logical data model contained approximately 225 entities and almost 1400 attributes. The physical model had over 260 tables and over 3200 columns. The model was maintained using PowerDesigner version 11.1.

• Supported conversion with knowledge of the existing systems in IMS DB and DB2 OS/390.

• Assisted in evaluating business intelligence-related ETL tools, mainly Ascential and Dataflow.

Developed and presented “Data Warehousing Strategies and Tools” for the Illinois State Police to provide direction for their data warehouse and business intelligence / decision support system planning efforts.

Served as Database Architect on the WIA Customer Information and Case Management System Project for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunities.

• Provided logical and physical database design, database performance testing and tuning, and database configuration and administration.

• The system was developed in J2EE utilizing IBM Websphere and DB2 on a Z/OS platform.

Served as Database Architect on the Security Skills Match Project for the Illinois Department of Employment Security.

• The platform for the J2EE application was Tomcat and DB2 UDB on Solaris.

• Developed the conceptual data model, assessed data warehousing and reporting strategies, and addressed the current the legacy system application and data-related interfaces.

• The data modeling was done using PowerDesigner.

Served as Data Architect on Data Warehouse Legacy Data Access Project.

• This project built a data warehouse for decision support for the sales force of a major manufacturer.

• Defined data mapping from the legacy files to the data warehouse, created the tables, audited the ORACLE environment, and established guidelines for database management.

Served as Data Architect on the design and development of an Unemployment Insurance Tax administration system for the Illinois Department of Employment Security.

• DBMS was DB2 for os/390.

• Maintained the data model using Bachman, reviewed program design and code for functionality and efficiency, and tested the performance of critical programs.

Served as Data Architect in the custom development of a survey processing for the College of American Pathologists.

• Designed conceptual, logical, and physical data models using S-designer for Informix and developed standards and change control procedures.

• Supported team members in understanding and accessing the data from the approximately 200 tables in the system.

Served as Data Architect on Midas Fax on Demand Project.

• Defined the system and data requirements and designed the database. DBMS was ORACLE.•
