CLINICAL MANAGER November 2013 – February 2014

Supervising front desk personnel; overseeing patient scheduling; approving weekly

payroll, including any modifications needed for overtime and/or holidays; implementing policies

and procedures in accordance with TOSHA and TN Department of Health rules and regulations

and educating staff with regard to said policies and procedures, including but limited to blood-

borne pathogens, hand hygiene, IV conscious sedation administration, emergency preparedness,

etc; facilitating staff meetings as needed; maintaining employee health records; editing job

descriptions for future employees; assisting with the interview/hiring process for future

employees; admitting new patients into the practice; overseeing OR and PACU RN’s; managing

narcotics inventory. Responsible for ongoing communication with patients to assist with

medications and procedure scheduling; submitting prior authorizations for medications to various

insurance companies; coordinating with neighborhood pharmacies to ensure prescribed

quantities can be filled. Implementing a disciplinary action policy for staff members;

encouraging individual accountability and autonomy within the practice; maintaining the

physician’s personal calendar with regard to scheduling.
