• REMOVAL OF BLOCKING ARTIFACTS IN JPEG COMPRESSED IMAGES

DESCRIPTION

This project is beneficiary to reduce noise in JPEG image. When JPEG image is

compressed, the high frequency details of the coded images are highly contaminated by

quantization noise. An estimation of actual pixel is obtained from the decoded image. The

estimated image can be de noised using Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DTCWT),

which is a variant of discrete wavelet transform.
