Production Supervisor

Supervised and managed the production of a wide variety of

copper based alloys for Foundry and Mill applications, with

our primary metals being Copper, Tin, Lead, Zinc, Silicon

Metal, Electrolytic Manganese, Aluminum and Nickel. I was

responsible for 5 rotary furnaces and 2 electric furnaces

and 45 employees. Was responsible for making sure that each

heat was processed in accordance with the expiring document

for each individually alloy and once the meltdown process

was complete processing a sample and adding the proper

amount of primary metals to get it in spec. accordingly.

Supervised warehouse operations i.e shipping/ receiving

and the sorting of scrap. Performed inventory checks of

scrap, primary metals and finished product on hand. Worked

hand in hand with the Union Rep to resolve all grievances

and issues before they got out of control. Provided the

shift scheduling and assisted in the hiring process of new

employees. Provided Quarterly training for the furnace

operators and helper in regards to operations, plant

cleanliness, personal hygiene, safety, PPE, time management

and job responsibilities.
