completed the Communicative Disorders Assistant post-graduate certificate.
I am available to work immediately.
Through my employment and volunteer history, I offer a sound
experience working with people of diverse backgrounds. Effective in
maintaining positive interaction in a dynamic setting, I am able to
implement sound multi-tasking and time management proficiencies to meet
goals and objectives. My communication and interpersonal abilities, which
help me to meet any challenge, are my best assets and I have enjoyed an
excellent rapport with people of all ages. Being flexible and resourceful,
I have also proven my ability to assess changing needs, prioritize workload
and pragmatically resolve problems when required. I am very interested in
ongoing personal and professional growth. I have worked with junior
kindergarten students including very young English as a Second Language
students on phonological awareness, articulation and various language
skills. I have worked with and prepared material for both children and
adults with various brain injuries leading to a communication disorder. I
have also worked with the adult population with aphasia in aphasia groups.
I have inter-professional experience working in a team setting and I would
be comfortable incorporating strategies into various programs and
activities. I have experience compiling activities and taking the lead in
aphasia group sessions. I am able to work as a team as well as
independently.
