• Developed a GRAS calcium sulfate scale inhibitor for the specific specifications of a
l arge customer.
• Helped develop an FDA compliant high f lash point solvent cleaner for use on the
d ryer section of paper machines to clean PVA, EVA, Styrene Acrylic and various
other stickies. This product had to comply with a strict patent.
• Created a method to test the ability of different products to pacify stickies on a wire
on a wet basis. The purpose of this method was to find a replacement for the Neutra
Shield product.
• Measured and cataloged the dynamic surface tensions of many of the raw materials
used by the Paper Chemicals Department, and developed an interactive spreadsheet
to display the data.
• Performed technical service involving paper machine felts. Found the organic and
i norganic soils loading and soils composition using FTIR and X-ray diffraction
i nstrumentation.
• Participated in monthly safety t raining, and is familiar with OSHA regulations and
F DA standards
