Software Design Engineer
Designed and developed firmware and GUI software for a wide variety of customized products
with on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
Delivered products ranging from high accuracy data acquisition to data switching to remote
access control to location-aware security applications. Below is a sample of them.
Developed firmware for CellMite, a highly integrated intelligent digital signal conditioner to
connect transducers (such as load cells, strain gages and LVDTs) to PC or other devices with
AC/DC excitation, multi-point linearization calibration, internal intelligent temperature
compensation, LCD display, RS232/RS485/wireless serial digital output and DC analog output.
Designed and developed the hardware and software for an Automatic Heat Calibrator, which
greatly improved productivity in the manufacture division by automating the heat calibration
processing for data acquisition and measurement instrument manufacturing. It can automatically
collect heat co-efficient data, calculate the result, put the result into the instrument and email the
data to an email address and run a verification cycle.
Designed and developed a location-aware security lock system, which employed GPS
technology, embedded GSM/GPRS wireless communication channels and configuration and
monitoring application through the internet.
Developed automatic door control and management system, which has digital image taking and
processing, remote events notification and system controls through internet, wireless phone
service or regular phone line and a Windows GUI monitor and control application.
Added native USB support for existing legacy measurement products, which includes both
firmware development and Windows GUI programming support in Visual C++ and C#.
Designed and developed Power Reboot system, which can securely remotely monitor and
manage central servers through phone line dial in or internet with Java GUI interface.
Programmed various fiber optical and copper switching products with micro-processors.
Maintained and enhanced existing products according to customer requirement.
