Experience May 2013- Till date

Worked as a developer for animation and 3D modelling project, called “The Virtual Patient”.

For animation & graphic designing, Maya 3D and Universal Development Kit (UDK) have

been used.

Used .Net for coordination of characters & scenarios and SQL server as the backend database.

The central idea was to develop a virtual environment for medical trainees to understand and

deal with different kinds of patients.

The end goal was to create a virtual character as the patient that communicates with the

physician, in different moods and scenarios.

Documented the whole software, with user guide, instructions and development steps.

Programmer- Computer Science Dept. WSU August 2012-April 2013

Used Java to extract important data from the gene-expression data sets.

Implemented gene searching and comparison systems to efficiently look for certain patterns,

by using Bioinformatics and various data mining algorithms.

The task involved extraction of the genes with highest correlation coefficient and to mine the

genes responsible for causing tumors in those particular tissues.

The results were one of the crucial components of an on-going research in the department of

Computer Science at Wright State University.

Software/Web Designer-DMC, India June 2011- July 2012

Designed, developed and deployed the company’s website, using HTML, Javascript and

PHP.

Web Application development, Windows application development (in VB.Net) and

maintenance of software systems.

Performed unit testing and system testing for the components.

Designed, developed and tested a software application that generates weekly & monthly

reports for analysis & distribution of the company’s products.

Programmer- Informatics Lab, BIT September 2010-May 2011

Designed, developed and deployed a vehicle parking security system for the university.

Used .net for the development this application, which was incorporated with a web-camera

and a barcode reader, for faster processing of data

Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008 were used in the development and testing

processes.

Intern-Indian Railways, INDIA June 2010-August 2010

Database Management System (DBMS), summer Intern at Indian Railways.

Indian Railways is one of the largest Railway networks in the world, with wagons for both

passengers and freight numbering close to 2, 75,000.

The tracking of freight and passenger wagon is a complex task and I helped to create a web

application, based on the database systems to analyses and track the immense amount of data

coming from the sensors every minute, to avoid accidents and delays.

This internship helped me gain immense knowledge, in the field of DBMS.

December 2009 – May 2010

Programming Assistant- Informatics Lab, BIT

Used .Net as the framework to develop a web based application, called “The Hotel

Management System”.

It could be used by the staff as well as by the administrator to monitor and control the proper

functioning of a hotel.

It accounts the various aspects of the hotel like the booking a reservation online,

accommodation, catering services, orders, bills and employee login hours, etc. The application

was utilized by a few local hotels and was found beneficial.
