Loparex is worlds number one Release Liner manufacturer, with a turnover of over US $500 million. Loparex India is first in India to employ Ultra-violet (UV) radiation curing of silicone. Job Description

• Provide technical support for release liner business by developing new products and maintaining existing products.

• To develop and validate new analytical methods for existing as well as for new products and troubleshooting at various locations

My Responsibilities

• Managing the product development by coordination with marketing in charge based on customer demands/wishes and company targets of Loparex towards commercialization.

• Making of all new process parameters, ensure process parameter are followed on all operations.

• Leading product qualifications and modifications, internally as well as externally (with customers) and in other sites of Loparex.

• Employ three coating processes to meet wide-ranging customer requirements, i.e. solvent-based, emulsions with Thermal curing and solvent-less with both Ultraviolet and Thermal curing.

• Supporting the production department by providing essential information and assisting with process improvement, product development, product modifications and complaints.

• Reduce Process Defect and Process idle time, recording and prepare CAPA for the same.

• Making the OGL’s and standard silicone formulations for various products and customers.

• Development and implementation of new testing procedures, if any.

• Find out the quality near misses in production process

• Conduct the FMEA and follow up with production team

• Providing all related inputs for any new/first time order, new products etc, Inputs will include, paper source if any, Coat weight, Silicone formulations, Process parameters, and other customer requirements.

• Planning trials with planner for on time dispatch of samples to customers.

• Investigating and identifying the root cause and taking CAPA for any process related issues.

• Staying up to date regarding technical innovations within the industry and informing and advising Loparex about this, e.g. substituting products of competitors, problems and possibilities of applying our own products at existing customers.

• Monthly report regarding the progress of projects.

• Making monthly performance report of department and send to concerned authority

• Out-of-the-box thinking to create new ideas for customer developments.

• Optimize the process parameter & silicone formulation.

• Projects on cost saving and wastage reduction in all process centers.

• Making cost saving data in monthly wise

• Establish the validation and change control for all changes in process and procedures.

• All PPD - ISO work, procedures, documents controls, and maintaining HIRA & IER up to date Challenges of Job

• Setting up of new machine parameters for new products.

• Matching of lab trial process parameter with machine process parameters. Education

Successfully completed Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Polymer Science & Technology from Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam in 2011
