Network Technician
NTC/NOC Network test center/ Network Operation center PROGRAMMED in
NORTEL DMS 100 allowed services thru FIOS fiber using VOIP SoftSwitchs
operating at various speeds (DS0, DS1,T-1, T-3); Lucent-5-ESS; and
Siemens (DS0, DS1). This enabled access to features and network resources
for business and residential customers. Made provisioning changes as
needed per Switch. Remotely test, troubleshoot and resolve customer
troubles associated with features, circuits, CENTREX, and PBX . Using
trouble ticket system that utilize various databases and
telecommunication LAN/WAN networks, including Verizon systems (SWITCH-
FOMS, SOP/DOE, VRepair, LMOS and WAFA & STORC). Communicated with inter-
company departments (FSC - Fiber Solutions Center, Trunks, Translations,
Frame and outside Technicians) to collaborate, troubleshoot and
reconfigure services and resources to customers. Temporarily worked in
C.O. DS-0; DS-1circuits-all functions. Trained in provisioning various
SONET data rates.
