I have mostly worked behind the scenes as you can see the majority of jobs I have done is in retail,and I feel

I can handle that as well as package handling also in a warehouse setting if possible.

WORK EXPERIENCE

retail/stock/receiving associate

macys,inc. - Manhattan, NY - September 2003 to May 2013

Responsibilities

I worked daytime and overnight shifts,doing stock associate work,overnight platform receiving as well as

overnight operations.

Accomplishments

I was there for almost ten years having to do at times strenuous work as per being moved to different depts.

Skills Used

I had to use manual pallet jacks as well as mini and regular rider jacks.Also worked various freight elevators to

bring merchandise back and forth,also had to shrink wrap pallets that had to be brought back to the receiving

floor or rtv'd,so I can do pick-packing if needed.

Day Stock Associate

FAO Schwarz,Inc. - New York, NY - May 2002 to January 2003

Responsibilities

Used a manual Jack to bring and remove merchandise from the floor and also the stockroom and also helped

the supervisor with setting up her floor plan.The reason for the abruptness if my stay was after inventory was

done the days were cut to one or two per week and I needed some thing full time.

Accomplishments

Being able to help out the company to the best of my ability.

Skills Used

Being able to function well in a retail setting especially during the holiday season.

Stern's/Inc.

Retail Store - New York, NY - September 1998 to March 2001

Responsibilities

I worked in both housewares and china areas,organizing stockrooms,setting up the floor to the supervisors

liking,going to the receiving area and seeing what merchandise could be used on the floor and what could

be stocked away.

Accomplishments

Being able to listen and work with the supervisor in both areas to help maintain a smooth flow.

Skills Used

Using a pallet jack to move and remove merchandise off the floor.

Warehouse Worker

Duane Reade Warehouse - Maspeth, NY - July 1998 to September 1998

Responsibilities

This was a temp job from a Manhattan Temp Agency,where we had to clear out an old warehouse to a new

one,in which we moved pallets around to be shipped out.We did some cleaning as well in the new facility.I

helped in pick-packing,shrink wrapping the pallets,using a manifest to find where the merchandise is .So this

was an early introduction to this work.

Accomplishments

Just gaining some experience in that setting though I'm willing to learn more about any certifications that are

needed.

Skills Used

Using a pallet jack to mve the merchandise around,briefly used a electric jack for some of the heavier pallets.

SKILLS

Im able to use manual and electric jacks to mve merchandise around .If necessary I am willing to learn how

to use a forklift to be certified in that field.
