Academic Project:

Visual Cryptography

Visual Cryptography is a method of encrypting a secret image into some

shares (transparencies) such that stacking a sufficient number of shares

reveals the secret image and any qualified subset of the shares can recover

the secret "visually".

The main aim of the project was to import high security to

confidential images used in defence, public and business sectors while

storing or transferring over a network.

The original image will be divided into parts by separating the pixels

using a particular algorithm and then encrypted. The encrypted partial

images will be sent over the network and then decrypted at the destination

end. Finally the originally image will be restored by any qualified subset

of partial images.

Skills Used: Java, UML

Roles and Responsibilities: I am the Team Leader of this project Leading

and involving in all the phases of Development Life Cycle of this project,

i.e. Gathering the project requirements, Project design, Development and

Testing. The project is well documented throughout the project life cycle.
