Putting different type of bonds of a portfolio in different buckets.

Since the interest rate changes from one day to next day, I am responsible to construct a unique

benchmark bond portfolio which can indicate the need of rebalancing(in terms of interest rate

sensitivity) by minimizing the cost of the whole portfolio for a continuous time period.
