2008.
FINAL YEAR PROJECT:
TITLE: AUTOMATIC RAIL DEFECT DETECTOR
DESCRIPTION: An electromagnetic system for cracked rail detection and enhancing
traction when necessary includes wiring coils around wheels axles, and a corresponding power
source for supplying power to the coils for producing eddy current in wheels axles, wheels and
Rails. When a cracked rail is encountered along the route, the circuit will be interrupted or
open, then the pattern change is detected by eddy current sensor. After the detection the cart
sends the information to the train .Finally the train will be stopped automatically.
MINI PROJECT WORK
TITLE: ACCIDENT PREVENTION WITH ALCOHOL DETECTION
DESCRIPTION: Developed by using an alcohol sensor and a micro controller. The cost of
the system is less, the accuracy and reliability is much higher. By implementing this system in
our house vehicle we can prevent up to 50% of our daily road accidents. This is a small in size
system so we can implement it on existing vehicle.
