PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
BEM Systems Inc. – Environmental Engineer October 2007 - Present
Soil and Groundwater Remediation– Portal Bridge Project – NJ Transit/Amtrak
Prepared a Remedial Action Workplan and assisted Senior Engineers with calculations for consolidation and
management of Hexavalent Chromium contaminated soils and groundwater during the proposed construction
phase of the Portal Bridge in Kearny, NJ
Performed duties as an onsite coordinator and task manager to coordinate waste management efforts at a bridge
construction site which spans over several contaminated sites. Waste profiles included both hazardous and non-
hazardous soils and liquids and disposal in accordance with RCRA and local regulations.
Environmental Specialist, NJ TRANSIT CNG Gas Filling Station Design
Task Manager involved in the review of a new CNG filling station design and assist in air emission calculations for
the proposed equipment for the design.
Also assisted in coordinating with USEPA in acquiring the necessary air permits required to complete the
construction design phase.
Air Monitoring, Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center (LMCCC), New York, NY
Served as an on-site coordinator/air quality specialist in charge of the operation and maintenance of eight ambient
air monitors as well as the interpretation and validation of data collected from them. Periodic coordination with
NYSDEC Inspectors to perform inspection and performance quality of the air monitoring equipment to maintain
compliance with applicable standards.
Other duties included helping the LMCCC maintain an equipment inventory of off-road construction vehicles at
the World Trade Center Site and other Federal sites in Lower Manhattan that have been retrofitted with particulate
filters.
This effort helped in reducing the overall emissions near surrounding residential properties and helping the
construction to maintain compliance with applicable NYSDEC Air Regulations.

Air Quality Specialist, Portal Bridge Project, NJ
Prepared and implemented a perimeter air monitoring program to protect the safety of workers by continuously
monitoring the effect of construction activities to the air quality.
Program involved regular communication and coordination with NJDEP to develop site specific actions levels for
monitoring.
Air Quality Specialist, Lincoln Center Redevelopment Project, Air Monitoring Program, Manhattan, NY
Provided support to the team involved in retrieving data from six stationary monitoring stations setup inside the
indoor parking garage at the Lincoln Center in New York. Collection of data involved downloading data from six
DR-4 and VRAE air monitors and calibration of the instruments.
PCB Sampling and Analysis – Hartz Mountain Property, NJ TRANSIT
Performed close coordination with NJDEP to maintain compliance with applicable USEPA and TSCA regulations
to prepare a cleanup plan for demolition, removal and disposal of PCB contaminated building.
Coordinated and directed drillers to perform core sampling at a former office building site to collect samples to
analyze for PCB contamination. Sampling consisted of wall, floor and ceiling samples, window caulk samples and
wipe samples.
The results of the sampling effort resulted in distinguishing between PCB contaminated and non contaminated
locations in the building, which in turn reduced disposal costs for the client.
Base wide Storm Sewer Survey – McGuire Air Force Base, NJ
Assisted in preparing SWPPP for the base and also lead the effort in design a plan to conduct a Storm Sewer
Investigation to identify the source contamination being discharged into a nearby creek.
Prepared work plans and managed subcontractors to perform a base wide study to map the existing storm sewer
system of the base using GPS surveying techniques.
Additionally prepared plans and managed contractors to perform a video inspection survey of the insides of the
storm sewers to determine any deficiencies in the system. Coordination also included determining methods to
handle liquid and sediment waste flushed out from the storm sewers.
The effort resulted in identifying the source of contamination within the storm sewer system and providing
recommendations for a remedial action.
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
Prepared Health and Safety plans to be implemented during environmental investigations with emphasis on the
following EHS aspects of the projects;
Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) Decontamination
Hazardous Material Handling and Storage Job Hazard Analysis
Spill Control and Prevention Construction Safety
Hazardous Waste Management Chemical Process Safety
Groundwater Remediation
NJ TRANSIT Light Rail - 34th Street Station Park and Ride – As a task manager, performed coordination with
contractors to install groundwater monitoring/recovery wells at a former UST site and perform oversight of
remedial activities to extract LNAPL using Enhanced Fluid Recovery (EFR) extraction method. The remediation
efforts have reduced the amount of LNAPL at the site by up to 90%. Also prepared regulatory reports to present
the results of the investigations and develop strategies for remediation.
NJ TRANSIT West Side Avenue Park and Ride (Y&T) – Worked as an onsite coordinator to perform a
comprehensive PCE delineation investigation at a former service station site utilizing MIP techniques which
produce real time data outputs. This data was utilized to delineate the horizontal and vertical extent of
contamination and also determine the source point of contaminant plume. Also prepared work plans and remedial
investigation reports for the project.

Soil and Groundwater Investigation – Elmwood Park Demolition Site#3, NJ – NJDOT
Managed the field program to perform a comprehensive soil and groundwater investigation at a former filling
station that had leaking USTs which contaminated the groundwater.
Oversaw and directed drilling operations based on field observations obtained from a Membrane Interface Probe
(MIP) system used to obtain real time data with relation to subsurface contaminants. Results of the investigation
helped in determining the extent of contamination and designing appropriate remedial measures.
Soil and Groundwater Investigation – The Trans-Hudson Express ARC Tunnel (Kearny Yard)
Performed field activities as an onsite coordinator at a former industrial site which had extensive hexavalent
chromium contamination in soil and groundwater. Field coordination included oversight of drilling activities for soil
borings and installation of monitoring wells, delineation of coal tar DNAPL using Laser-Induced Fluorescence,
waste management and general health and safety of workers.
EE&T Inc. – Process Engineer April 2007 – September 2007
Worked as a Process Engineer responsible for process design and calculations of filtration and clarifier units in
water treatment design projects.
Conducted on-site pilot tests to obtain data for selection of the optimal water treatment process at Morgan Water
Treatment Plant and Crown Water Treatment Plant in Cleveland, OH and Utah Valley Water Treatment Plant in
Orem, UT.
Research Assistant Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK July 2005 - July 2006
Performed groundwater vulnerability analysis for the City of Enid using WHPA, wellhead protection program and
DRASTIC modeling on a GIS platform, to determine the possible sources of contamination to groundwater.
Prepared a remediation plan for the control of excess contaminants in groundwater.
