EXPERIENCE: Digitech Systems 11/2012 – 02/2014
I was the sole technical writer maintaining help systems for 5 document management
applications. Each help system contained online help, user guides, administration guides, and
installation guides. I interviewed subject matter experts, developers, and worked with quality
assurance members to gather information on new features being introduced into the
applications.
I was also responsible for combining online help, developed in RoboHelp 8, and user guides,
written in Microsoft Word, into a single source application, MadCap Flare 9. Combining the
online help and user guides into a single source tool cut time needed to develop new
documentation in half.
Contract Writer 12/2011 – 11/2012
I was a member of a documentation team at McKesson in Westminster that consists of 14
writers. I was responsible for 9 applications and 14 manuals related to patient care. The
development team employed the Agile development process using Rally software to organize
and coordinate their development cycles. As an active member of a SCRUM team my
responsibilities included:
• Estimating project timeliness
• Creating tasks from user stories
• Writing documentation from requirements documents
• Assisting other writers with editing and quality control processes
We used FrameMaker to develop printed documentation and RoboHelp to develop online
help.

I was the sole technical writer responsible for developing technical documentation, online help,
user guides, API manuals and installation instructions for a cloud-security Software as a
Service (SasS) application used to administer and configure access management for Web
applications. As the single writer in an Agile development environment, my responsibilities
included:

and API documents
