Responsibilities included evaluate the HVAC-R Lab, implement changes make it more conducive for
i nstruction and t raining. Review the lesson plan for HVAC-R program suggest changes and submit it to
Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Have it certified and listed as an certified an
accredited school so after completing the course a student could be eligible to receive a Certified
Technician Card with TDLR. Get the program approved with ESCO so as to have on site examination
and certification for EPA testing. Construct electrical t raining boards to aid with instruction and
t raining of series and parallel circuits and to familiarize students with the operation of the Volt/Ohm
meter to diagnose and t roubleshoot electrical circuits. Include students with the wiring and
refrigeration plumbing and electrical controls with the building of miniature medium and low
temperature refrigeration t raining units.
