Transformer Helper

Refurbished and repaired single phase Burd and single phase transformers.

Cleaned and performed visual inspection for damage of equipment and sampled

oil for testing and log results. Drained oil and salvaged old and damaged

equipment. Transported electrical equipment by forklift to hazardous

holding area. Performed routine safety inspections.

Southern California Edison -Westminster CA 01/09-04/11

Transformer Helper

Refurbished and repaired single phase overhead and pad mount, three phase

and power transformers. Cleaned and performed visual inspection of

transformers, sampled oil and had tested for contaminates and water content

and log results. Performed visual inspection of rigging equipment and

cranes, used proper rigging techniques for hoisting heavy equipment.

Sampled oil, drain, tag and salvaged electrical equipment and transport to

hazardous holding location. Replenished five gallon oil containers for oil

distribution to field locations. Performed maintenance duties at the Oil

Tank Farm. Assisted with the processing and delivery of oil to shop

locations, tankers and to other tanks at the Oil Tank Farm. Performed

routine inspections of shop tools, ladders, generators, eye wash stations,

fire extinguishers, pumps, air hoses, first aid kits and burn kits and

document information for corrections.
