maintenance of the Netezza Performance Server (NPS). NPS
is an integrated database analytics and warehousing
appliance developed by Netezza Corporation. It is an
extremely fast data warehousing solution that caters to
the business intelligence needs of elite customers like
New York Stock Exchange, Bank of America, Colt Telecom,
AC Nielsen, and Google etc.
The NPS is built specifically to analyze terabytes of detailed
data 10-50 times faster and at half the cost of other
data warehousing products, including those from Oracle,
IBM and Teradata. The NPS system stores, filters and
processes terabytes of data within a single unit,
analyzing only the relevant information for each query.
Netezza has placed processing power next to the data, so
data analysis occurs at the source at streaming speeds,
delivering an unprecedented boost in performance.
