Responsibilities

Responsibilities were cooking for students and faculty members. Kitchen work cooking for 500-1000 people,

started at cafeteria buffet type doing stir fry, sushi and other meals to order, I had to see my menu for the day

and prep enough for my shift. From that station I got moved to pizza station and since I had experience from

Carino's it was fun and easier for me making 3 types of pizza after pizza and I had good compliments I was

creating new dishes and changing the menu to make my inventions and it worked. I was asked by my general

manager if I would like to get moved to a Café called (Slice of Life) at the Student Union and I accepted. Later

I was told I was going to be in charge of the Café and that I would have to see according to pictures on menu

what I had to order for merchandise. I did and also was told to train my other 2 employees to make and cut

according to my knowledge, so I did I had to send them to break and be cashier and take orders course one

employee didn't speak english . I had to place orders of what I needed and then do inventory . On some days

I was called to do Catering events prep food one day the next cook it and I had to make sure I delivered it on

time load and unload serve and wen done cleaned up and load back again to get ready for the next catering

depending on how many we had.

Accomplishments

Accomplishment was that I was able to run the Café make my menu and make my own choices, and costumers

would compliment my work allot that by I would already new what they were going to order and want and not

want if they were vegetarian or lactose intolerance and it was fun for me and them . They would leave with

good food and a smile on there faces and that's a good feeling that could lift you up on a bad day.

Skills Used

Politeness and hard work keeping equipment cleaned, sanitize and costumers happy the best way possible.

Carinos Italian Grill - McAllen, TX - July 2009 to September 2011

Responsibilities

Started off as salads and appetizers. I putt my mind to hurry and did multiple prep tasks at the same time to

finish my work neatly and in time. Time passed and I got better at it so I said it was time to move up to pasta

and sauté, so I was trained and again set my mind up and learned all recipes in mind. Once again achieved

it managers asked me to try for prep/dish and of course said yes, again achieved it and later in time became

trainer and did janitorial work like cleaning walls, painting and degreasing back dock organizing storage and

merchandise, fixing some equipment doing tape and floating,painting in and out restaurant, redoing grout in

some areas at bar and were work was needed.

Accomplishments

I think I impacted my self and other employee because wen I was off and a cook didn't show up and I was

called for help I never said no never even if I was out with family. After my shift on my way home if I was called

that someone wasn't showing up I would go back and work all night, or after my shift I would ask manager if

the dishwasher needed help I could stay to help or to do janitorial work,what ever I could do extra was good

many of my coworkers would say go home,you still here, you live here or what and that somehow motivated

me to work harder.

Responsibilities

Depending on the job situation sometime cutting all types of woods. Also did rooftop taking off and putting

on new shingle, replacing old plywood. Sometimes plumbing digging ditches, also did cement work helping

lay blocks for walls making cement mix, cement plaster for walls, concrete driveways and foundation work.

Did landscaping designed shapes and island accordance with plants and palm trees,digging, planting grass.

Painting striping old furniture fixings it sanding and staining. Also painting houses in and out, tape and floating,

also do airbrushing for school, houses.

Accomplishments

Impacts well I guess since I work for my friend was that no matter how tuff or how hot times were I never gave

up and learned fast I worked long hours 12-15 hours without a meal or brake. Even if 100 degrees outside

on the roof sweating and burning I didn't care .

Skills Used

Skills were been neat and always clean, cleaning after each little or big job,being polite to people and

costumers even if I was going through a ruff day never lost control always quiet concentrating on my work

and surroundings.
