Project: Automation of Merlin Rx web portal verification (4th Release)

Role: QA Analyst and Developer

Employer: iGate

Description:

This was a functional testing project, which involves testing the functionality of a customer facing MerlinRx web

application portal. The MerlinRx web application is directly accessible to the physician who prescribes drugs for

the patient based on real time data transmitted by the transmitter placed at the patients end. My responsibilities in

the project involved automated test execution leveraging QTP

Responsibilities:

•Execution of automated scripts using QTP

•Created SQL scripts for validation

•Debugging the automated scripts and finding out the solution for issues

•Updating the web objects in object repository and maintaining the object repository up to date

•Reporting of defects using Rational Clear Quest

•Resolving the SWRs (Software Work Request’s)

•Tracking, re testing and closing the defects (SWRs)

•Coordinating with the OSC (Onsite Coordinator) and with the offshore team members

version. We leveraged Rational Clear Quest and a customer provided SAINTS tool which was a web based tool

used to generate automated status reports of all tests.

•Updated and executed test cases for existing version of the web portal for clinics management

•Manual test case design and preparation in Test Repository (Saints) for the future version of the portal

•Multi Lingual test case preparation for strings and character sets for 10+ Pages of the portal

•Test case execution by QTP Scripts for the 4th release of the portal

•Defect management through Rational Clear Quest, re verification and closure of defect

•Peer Review of Test Cases prepared by team members

•Finalization of Testing Matrix and executing the final test repository (Saints)

•Finalization and certification of Golden Images
