My name is Gerald Wendell Reynolds, Jr., and I am writing in response to the opening for the Visual

Designer position. I am a graduate from Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in

Computer Graphics. Upon completing my coursework, I graduated Magna Cum Laude. I began an

extensive internship with Ken Etheridge & Associates where I worked on perfecting my craft as well as

continue to attain the knowledge necessary to continue a career in graphic design.

The majority of my career I have worked for KEA, a marketing company based in Canada. As a graphic

designer for this company, I was responsible for creating a variety of visual marketing media for branding,

print layout, creative displays, and website development through use of programs including Adobe

Creative Suite and Dreamweaver.

Interning with KEA I was awarded the opportunity to work alongside supervisors and clients to achieve

optimal results. I continue to enhance my skills by working as a freelance contract graphic designer with

companies such as KABA; a company that designs security systems and SoulTic Magazine, a publication

focusing on the needs of the African American community. Through my work, I have worked on branding

projects such as the Charles Matthews Reality company logo and the Target Excellence Program to

promote the use of a school tutoring program. Working with SoulTic Magazine I am responsible for

designing the layout of each publication. Working with these companies, I have improved my

organizational and time management skills by completing all projects on or before scheduled deadlines.
