Objective

Searching for better employment opportunities in the Florence area. Hopefully maybe

even retire from the establishment.

Abilities

Experience in helping production workers by performing duties of lesser skill. Loading

and unloading materials. Standing for long periods time and lifting heavy objects.

Employment History

Assembler

2/28/2011 - present

When hired, I started out in the paint dept. as a paint prep tech. I was responsible for

Sanding, wiping, and caulking the cabs before they were painted. After awhile I was

given the job in assembly as an SSL B door assembler. I am responsible fo placing the

wiring and windshield wiper motors inside of the doors.

Material Handler/machine operator

04/2007 - 10/2009 Georgia-Pacific Dixie Products Darlington, SC

When hired, i started as a machine operator. I was responsible for keeping the machines

running and performing slight maintenance in order for cups to be produced. After

awhile, i was promoted to material handler. I was in charge of all materials needed or

used in producing the product. I’m also a licensed forklift driver through my former place

of employment. Resigned October 3, 2009 to be with my wife, who is in the U.S Navy.

Receiving Clerk

10/2005 - 10/2006 Fed-Ex grounds Florence, SC

I was responsible for loading and unloading trucks. My team and i were responsible for

having all trucks loaded by a certain time. Even though the hours weren't long, the job

could be tough. Heavy lifting was mandatory here, but it wasn't a problem.

Assembler

02/2006 - 08/2006 Honda of SC (Diversco Intergrated Services) Timmonsville, SC

i worked on an assembly producing ATV's. On certain ATV's i had different processes.

For ex: bolting down step plates, or connecting battery cables or putting on rear or front

tires. I was hired through a temporary agency called Diversco. As a temp, the full-time

employees took advantage of us, give temps the harder work while they made the bigger

money. We were so called equal to the full time workers but pay was not. Honda also

refused to hire temps so I felt like it was time for me to go.

Infantry Indirect Fire Crewmember

03/2001 - 12/2005 S.C. Army National Guard, Mullins, SC

I was a mortar man/infantryman in the guard. Due to 9/11, I was activated from

September 2002 to September 2003. My duties included anything asked of me by chain

of command.

Bread-Catcher/ Mixer

03/2004 - 02/2005 interstate brands corporation Florence, SC

As mixer, i was responsible for mixing all ingredients needed to produce a sponge which

is eventually made into dough. I was bumped to bread-catcher due to lack of seniority. As

a bread-catcher, i would get orders prepared to be delivered to different locations. The

plant closed down February 2005.
