Seeking a full-time position in the field of electrical engineering with an emphasis on hardware
OBJECTIVE
engineering, medical device development and image processing.
Electrical Engineer, Piramal Critical Care
WORK
Orchard Park, NY (February 2013 - Present)
EXPERIENCE
This role is a part of the Drug Delivery Group, which is responsible for the research, development and
support of Piramal medical devices.
Key contributor towards the design, development, testing and validation for all phases (prototype
to final production) of a drug delivery system for anesthetic drugs.
Optimized system design parameters such as cost, reliability and power efficiency leading to
improved overall system performance.
Tested and validated performance of electronic sensors and patient monitoring subsystems, such as
Pulse Oximetry, ECG, and NIBP, in the integrated unit.
Validated hardware design specifications for prototypes through testing, and analyzing circuit
schematics, PCB’s and firmware code running on Xilinx FPGA. Debugged hardware and firmware
defects to solve potential issues.
Improved and validated subsystem performance through analysis, simulation, and lab testing by
utilizing tools and equipment such as MATLAB, oscilloscopes and other lab equipment.
Collaboratively researched and developed, as the lead electrical engineer, the electronics for
device alpha prototype for a secondary drug delivery project.
Provided support for site quality and regulatory compliance of Piramal devices with FDA, MDD,
ISO, and other government and anesthesia regulatory standards. Prepared and updated
documentation for compliance.
Contributed in identifying cost reductions (~5-7%) and overall budget management of the project.
Collaborated with engineers, external consultants and contract manufacturers for product
development and scale-up.
Acquired professional training certifications in ISO 14971:2012-Risk Management, and FDA QSR
Design Control for medical devices.
Hardware Test Engineer Co-op, Cisco Systems Inc.
(December 2011 – December 2012)
San Jose, CA
This role is a part of prototype services group, which is responsible for the support, characterizing and
testing (bring-up) of hardware and software for newly manufactured ASR-9000 aggregation platform
routers.
Contributed in the bring up of Route Processors, Fabric Cards, high-capacity Ethernet Line cards
with a range of 10 to 100 Gigabits per second.
Displayed strong analytical skills and expertise in performing component level debugging and
repairs for multi layered PCB’s.
Ran hardware and software diagnostic tools in Linux for screening out manufacturing faults, and
localizing failures to aid in debug.
Performed firmware image upgrades for board components such as CPLDs, and FPGAs.
Developed scripts for automated long term regression testing.
Collaborated with cross-functional teams of hardware and software engineers to help debug and
troubleshoot initial prototype products.
Responsible for tracking and allocating prototype inventory among different teams.
Documented bring-up and rework procedures along with providing periodic status reports to
managers and engineers.

Service Technician Co-op, Elo Touchsystems (formerly a part of Tyco Electronics Corp.)
(December 2008 – May 2009)
Henrietta, NY
This role involved working on different technical issues relating to circuit repairs, touch screens
calibrations, LCD malfunctions and electronics.
Troubleshooting based on problems reported by users - performed circuit analysis and component
testing.
Used proprietary software to test the video quality of LCD (visual inspection) and calibration of
LCD and touchscreens.
Mitigated issues by replacing and re-installing defective electronic components such as capacitors,
controllers and LCD screens.
Tested and validated fixes and achieved 95% success rate of my repairs from quality control.
Prepared reports in the company’s internal SAP reporting database summarizing the analysis, the
problems found and the actions taken for repair including parts installed.
Effectively worked in an individual contributor role and as part of team by ensuring collaborative
efforts between colleagues
